An excellent recording of two of Bach's best known sacred cantatas. The Hungarian vocalists do an admirable job with the German text, and the orchestra is impeccable. The sound does occasionally get a bit muddled on the chorals (more so on 80 than 147) but the arias and recitatives are beautiful. The bargain price on the Naxos label makes this disc especially attractive for buyers on a budget.
