Comments:Review by Jan Hanford:

Performance: extraordinary
Recording: excellent

These are a few of Bach's keyboard transcriptions of Vivaldi Concerti. Bach was a great admirer of Vivaldi and transcribed many of his, and other composers', concerti for performance on keyboard.

This is a delightful performance in every aspect. While some harpsichord recordings can be boring from a lack of energy, or frenetic from too much energy, Olivier Baumont's performance is an excellent balance of vibrancy and elegance.

The inclusion of Bach's own "Italian Concerto" complements an excellent program. A wonderful recording and highly recommended.
