This is Biggs in his prime. Easily the most spirited and joyful performer of Bach I have heard. He recorded six LPs and this is a combination of the first two. Highest recommedation possible. Everybody should have Walcha, and Hurford is very good, but to make you get up and dance, listen to "The Jig". The Toccatta, Adagio and Fugue is played as clearly as it can be, considering the difficulty. Start here if you have no Bach!
