I have always enjoyed Elizabeth Blumenstock's recordings with Musica Pacifica and she is an extraordinary live performer. Her interpretation of these delightful sonatas is outstanding. John Butt's performance, however, would have benefited from more legato and is sometimes too choppy but is otherwise excellent. But it's the violin performance that makes this recording highly recommended.
