This is a fine, though not outstanding, somewhat old-fashioned recording. The reason I mention it, it's on sale for HFL 6,95 making it the best low-cost Brandenburgs I've happened upon.

This was my first ever CD, albeit on another label (Pilz). The first Brandenburg sounds reasonably lively, with the proviso of invisible wind instruments. The third Brandenburg has the second movement simply with the two written chords, the finale has no repeats. However, most disappointing was the second concerto, with a poor sense of rhythm and balance. I could not recommend this CD, even at $AUS3.95 (approx. $US2.50).
