An outstanding group of performances, of special interest to those who have bought up all of Glenn Gould's Bach recordings and still need new material to feed the addiction. Martins is a tad sloppy on some of the faster passages but this does not detract from the intensity and beauty of these interpretations. The sound quality is deep and crisp and even and sparkling. The concertos for two pianos are especially gratifying and you will find yourself wanting to listen again and again and again. CDN$29.95 for a single CD may appear high, but the Martins boys earn every penny of it.
