Although the author of this website asked us not to type, "the best recording ever made," I hope I will be forgiven for saying that this is the best recording ever made of these pieces. Casals gives a performance full of feeling (didn't he say that Bach is a "volcano of passion"?), which comes through despite the occasional mistake. The transfer (from old discs from the late 1930's) is well done. Frankly, it is one of the best buys a Bach lover could make.
