| Comments: | A good recording. I have a special feeling for this CD because it was the first CD that I bought, long time ago. I've always loved Renaissance and Baroque Brass transcriptions, but many of them have a little defect: They don't listen "real", they sound like sequenced note by note in an electronic device. German Brass recording has the advantage of its real sound, and the feeling of being a "live" recording.
Some of the tracks have the trouble of not being too suitable for brass ensemble, for example, the siciliano or the 1st movement of the Italian concerto. The rest of the recording is superb. |
