Comments:This recording issued in a mid-price collection is to my ears, one of the very best interpretations of those suites. Pierre Fournier has, at the same time one of the warmest and homogeneous cello sound ever recorded, and plays those suites with great musical sense, wonderfull phrasing and sense of form. Wonderfull recording and... cheap, so don't wait !

Andy Cheng said:

Although Fournier was regarded as a romantic cellist, his performance in this recording is strictly the Baroque-oriented, "expressively controlled"plying of Bach(N.Anderson). An ADD recording, this piece of work by Fournier shows no less exquisitness than a DDD version. In fact, you can clearly hear his breathe during his playing. It's really worth your buck of only $US 12!
