This is one of the most definitive recordings I have ever heard of the Brandenburgs and is all the more incredible as it is directed from the violin by Roy Goodman. The Brandenburg Consort is crisp and clear at all time, and all tempi are quite standard. Although I have now been won over by Goebel's amazing set, Goodman's set will always be an old favourite.
