Comments:Review by Jan Hanford:

These unusual transcriptions are sometimes very dramatic, approaching the style of Lizst, and at other times very much like Bach. Some of the movements are barely recognizable but are still remarkably beautiful. I enjoyed this and the violin sonatas disc very much, keeping in mind it is not meant to be a pure transcription.

Purist fans of the original works may have some difficulty in appreciating this recording but I would expect piano fans to enjoy it.

Carlo Grante is an extraordinary pianist, his performance is excellent.
