Received unanimous critical acclaim in the music press with Andreas Scholl being dubbed the "Clark Kent of countertenors". He well deserves to be judged by his singing rather than his appearance though.

A recording that's going hardly to be ever surpassed. It seems like Mr. Scholl has been able to pick up all strengths of colleagues like Jacobs, Bowman and Chance, and to avoid their weaknesses.
Very moving!!
