Comments: At mid-price, and with excellent recorded sound ("DDD") and ambiance, this recording is a real bargain. Peter Hurford plays with his customary clarity and vitality. The high-lights for me are the Toccata & Fugue in d, BWV 565 (despite the fact that it is probably the most-recorded organ composition, Peter Hurford's rendition sounds fresh and attractive), and the Passacaglia & Fugue in c, BWV 582 (the organ's wonderful sounds together with Peter Hurford's monumental, but never overbearing, playing make this an "awesome" listening experience).
