Spirited, interesting playing and crystal clear recorded sound. An overall recommendation by the Gramophone critic Nicholas Anderson. An alternative version for those who happen to dislike the slightly overreverberant sound of Jordi Savall's interpretation.

Another fast-paced, foot-stomping version of the Brandenburg Concertos complete with "letter of the law" period instruments (including squawking horns) and a dazzling display of virtuosity with little attention payed to the "spirit of the music". The final movement of the sixth concerto is played particularly quickly and insensitively.
