| Comments: | I think that would be important to mention these historical recordings, though the poor quality of their sound. Ms. Landowska was one of the pioneers of the interpretation of the barouque music, and if we know about Bach and their contemporaries this is because the many concerts she gave during her life. I don't know if this recording is "the best recording ever made" (the Preludio no.1 from the Book I is very impressive to me when played by Glenn Gould, for example), but it's ever a pleasure hear recordings that survived the decades. |
