This is the third volume of 12 sets of 5 CDs of the complete Cantatas issued as part of Brilliant Classics Complete Bach Edition. The recordings are on a small scale with authentic instruments and young, fresh-sounding voices. The real highlight is the singing of Ruth Holton who has a clear innocent voice like a boy treble while still being round and feminine. Each set of 5 CDs only costs ú12.50 sterling which is astonishingly cheap. The covers are attractive and each individual CD has a booklet with a short description of each cantata and complete texts in German only.
