The choice of acoustic background is based not only on the text, but also on the elocution suggested by the musical material (rich in consonants for the "rhythmic" chorales and full of strong interpolations ; rich in vowels and melismas or the "contemplativ" or ornamented chorals ...) and by freely and subjectively interpreting the emotional content, using alternately restrained and sometimes almost vivacious tempi.
