An original digital recording. The instruments are original from the Baroque period, and the orchestra (the academy of ancient music) is expert in performing pieces from that period.

Schr"oder takes fast tempi in the slow movements. However, he totally convinces by his natural playing. A must.

An extremely beautiful recording. Recorded in 1982, it far outshines the currently available versions. New isn't necessary better; there are many treasures like this out there that are superior to the new (2003) recordings.
