Comments:The CD contains just one recording of J. S. Bach but additionally one of Bach's granduncle, Johann Bach. Cantata BWV 4 is performed by the "Academic Choir of Thuringia", a very excellent chamber choir under the direction of the director for music at the university of Lipsia. The continuo group is a selection of Baroque Soloists living in the region of Thuringia, Saxonia and Saxony-Anhalt. Both ensembles are specÝalists in performing Baroque music authentically. "Christ lag in Todes Banden" is performed with high vocal culture, the tempi are taken very fresh so it never gets boring to listen to the record.
